CMA stands for Cost and Management Accountant and institute that conducts the entire course is ICMAI- Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of India.



  • Passed higher secondary education from a recognized Board or any examination recognized by Central Government as equivalent thereto or has passed National Diploma in Commerce.
  • Examination held by the All India Council or Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the said All India Council, or the Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education.
  • For the intermediate level, candidate should be a Graduate in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
  • There are exemptions applicable for Intermediate Papers on certain conditions.

Admission is open throughout the year.

To appear for foundation/Intermediate examination in the month of June and December, one must register on or before 10th February and 31st July of that year respectively.
